HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF TO HIT THE SIZE OF YOUR DRESS

Hello girls! Like every Tuesday, we bring you a new post.

There have been many of you who have asked us what size to choose when buying a dress in Alenia , since you have doubts when doing so through our online store.

Today we are going to get you out of doubt. For this reason, we are going to give you the keys so that, when buying your dress, it is much easier for you to find the size you are looking for.

Normally we know the foot size we have or the pants size, but there are times when we get confused with the chest or hip size.

The world of sizes is very complicated but nothing that cannot be fixed with a good explanation and our size guide.

With these simple steps you will surely not need anyone's help, just for the long run.

Let us begin!

Things you need:

  1. the tape measure
  2. a pencil and paper
  3. To you!

With these simple steps you will surely not need anyone's help, just for the long run.

As we all know, sizes are measured in centimeters and on the tape measure you have the measurements indicated, so everything is more orientative.

You should know that due to the seam slack it can vary one centimeter so that the garment fits perfectly and adjusts to your silhouette.

To begin, the first thing is to know how to differentiate what is contour and what is wide.

We are going to stick with the term 'contour', since it is the term we use in sewing and refers to everything that surrounds a shape. To measure it correctly, the tape measure must be completely straight.

To find out what your size is, we are going to measure the three basic parameters: chest, waist and hip contour .

1.CHEST : Measure the contour of your chest in the area of greatest volume (cup contour) and then do the same to measure the contour under the chest but this time it is just below the bust (under the chest).

2. WAIST AND HIP : Measure your waist just above the navel between the thorax and the hip. To measure the hip, measure it approximately 20 cm below the waist and pass the tape through the widest part of the buttock area.

It is important to know your size on both sides, both the hip and the waist, since you can be very thin around the waist but have more hips. This case occurs in most of us, and it is true that it is a problem when buying tight pants if you do not know your exact size.

3. LENGTH : For the measurement of the length, the reference is always taken from the waist down. That is, we place the end of the tape measure at the waist point and let it fall downwards.

Once you have taken all the measurements correctly, you compare them with our size guide to select the correct one.

Here is our size guide:

At Alenia we work from size XS to XL. We admire the female figure, for this reason we want you to feel good about yourself and find your ideal dress.

We will always advise you so that you can get your size right the first time , but if not, don't panic! You can change the size totally free.

We hope we have clarified a little more for you, but you already know that if you want any more specific clarification, you can contact us through our Social Networks or directly by email ( hi@aleniabrand.com) and we will be happy to help you.

Happy week girls! See you in the next post.

Alenia.
